Few Words

Many guys, OK all guys, in wife led marriages have gone shopping with their wives. We hold doors, pay for things and fetch different sizes. Probably the biggest thing is to dutifully follow our wives carrying the bags. By the way, this is VERY evident during Christmas when the bags become plentiful. I've seen many a guy trudging along behind their wives. But bag carrying is not what this post is about.

The wife needed some cute but useful boots so we headed to some outlets. In one store, she found them. Then the sales lady came over and asked if we needed help.

Here's what happened next.

"No thank you."
She then looks at me.
"Size 9." and holds out her foot.
I immediately drop to one knee, remove her shoe, find size nine and put it on.
"Buy these."

You could catch flies in the saleswoman's mouth.

When my wife and I go clothes shopping for her I always stay with her, hold her purse and clothes she will try on, and wait outside the dressing room. A sales lady will always try to escort me to the husbands chair during those times, but my wife tells them that she brought me along to help her. I will find other sizes for her, get an item in a different color ,etc. The sales lady always states how attentive I am and how well my wife has trained me. My wife will tell her "I have to train him everyday otherwise he would get lazy on me. When we get home he has housework to finish and I'll see what else he can do for me after that" The younger sales girls look amazed and say "wow, I want that kind of man some day". My wifes reply, "they're all out there, you just have to show them from the beginning who is boss". The older sales ladies just smile, mature enough to know what our marriage is all about.
